Each Daily Devotion focuses on one short Bible passage, which is related to a common human experience. Our human experience establishes a starting point for understanding Our Creator, our world, and each other. Each group of devotionals focuses on one book or section of the Bible over several consecutive days or weeks. Surprising is the diversity between consecutive passages. Parents may select devotionals and invite their children to read and discuss the scripture with them.

Families are encouraged to say or read daily prayers and mealtime graces together. Prayers on the Pray page are inspired by scripture. New prayers are offered randomly, so please check back periodically.

Our Bible teaches about Our Creator and what he expects of us. The Bible is called the living word because it provides new insights as we experience life. Therefore, we improve understanding by discussing passages with a variety of people. Especially when our interpretations don't match, we receive insights to consider and explore. However, many first-time Bible students feel too uninformed to form an opinion. Lessons build confidence by offering a brief scriptural background, a related essay or story, and questions that inspire personal consideration.

For example, the lesson Daily Bread opens with an Introduction and a reading from the book of Matthew. To read this passage, type Matthew 6:5–13 into the search text box following the Introduction. For additional insight, read the essay “Daily Bread.” Questions at the end encourage insights based on personal experience. All answers to questions are found within yourself.
